Hey girls, long time no see! This month is "spooky season" so everyone regardless of industry is coming up with great Halloween content. This month, I'll be bringing one costume idea a week (for the remainder of the month) using stuff you could easily pull from your own closet! The first idea I kept as an Instagram exclusive. I did Rue from Euphoria, and if you missed it, you can take a look here.
This week I'm bringing you the safest idea in the book: a cat! Have you ever put off Halloween plans up until the very last second? Not the greatest feeling in the world, but life really be like that sometimes. All you need for this would be the cat makeup and the ears. My pair of cat ears are from Amazon from YEARS ago but there's no doubt that there will be plenty of them at any Halloween store near you. As for the makeup if you're really good at it you can do hyper-realistic makeup. So long as you have the nose and the whiskers (done with eyeliner), the message will be received.
As for the rest of your outfit, you'll need a bodysuit of some kind. They're not called catsuits for nothin'! I opted for a cheetah print one to play up the cat theme. It helps that cheetah print is super on-trend for fall so finding one might not be a hard task. Depending on your comfort level, you can wear it with jeans or a tight bodycon skirt. I also added a choker last minute to mimic a cat collar
Every cat costume, however sexy it may be, is required to have a pair of booties. If you want to wear thigh highs and really take it there you absolutely can! These hit right at the ankle and are more comfortable to walk around and potentially dance in. I also really like these because of the gold plating. They really make it more fashionable. I think without the makeup or ears, you could easily use this as a blueprint for a night out look!
Hope this gives you some good inspiration for any parties you might be attending this year! Tune in next week for another great costume idea!
Until next time,
Angela
