Getting Through Isolation, One Necklace At A Time

Hello everyone!

I know everyone reading this is wishing the world's current state of affairs was an April Fool's joke, but it isn't. Just taking a moment to give a huge thank you to the people working during a pandemic and keeping society afloat for all of us!

I've been listening to a lot of Dua Lipa....watching a lot of Timothee Chalamet movies...cleaning everything over and over. What I haven't been doing is working. I've been seeing tons of "work from home" related content that I love to watch, but I was hesitant about making a blog post related to fashion because I'm not working and feel down about what this pandemic will mean for the fashion industry when it's all over.

The only thing I can fall back on to make me feel better? Jewelry! Since I don't have an option to work from home I don't have a justifiable reason to be getting dressed up if I'm sitting in the house all day. Below is a picture of some of the things I've been wearing day-to-day.

Earrings (clockwise): Vince Camuto, Gorjana, Kendra Scott | Heart Necklace: Majorica | Silver Chain: Royal Chain Inc.

Something about wearing jewelry, regardless of whether I'm wearing a blouse and jeans or a hoodie and leggings makes me feel complete. Accessorizing will always be important to adding emphasis to any outfit, even if you're just around the house. Jewelry can also end up being incredibly personal if you wear it every single day. It can become an integral part of your day-to-day look. Thin chain necklaces, hoop earrings, diamond rings, even beaded bracelets are small enough that you can wear those pieces all the time but they can be so impactful to your personal style that you don't feel like you without them. I say no matter what you have on during your time in isolation, a little splash of gold or silver will add some normalcy to all the adjustments we're making to our routines.

Thank you so much for reading! Any suggestions of what you might want to see from me in the coming weeks will be greatly appreciated.

Until next time!

Angela
